Led bulbs on sides?

Featured Replies

I've tried to fit w5w led bulbs on sides but they don't work, they come on for few seconds and then go off.

Anyone knows a solution for this?

Or maybe there is another way to change yellowish bulbs into xenon/white look?

Once led bulbs are fitted I assume there will be a warning light coming up saying that the bulbs are burnt - is there any way to override it using VAG COM?

You will probably need a resistor to fool the autocheck system into agreeing that there is a bulb in there. Or you can buy bulbs with the resistors already in.

Any idea where I can find such led bulbs with built in resistors?

It looks awesome but £50 for 2 leds is a bit steep for me ;-)

I think I'll go for a pair of ceramic load resistors

E-ZEE SISTA - Lo Heat LED Load Resistors - Best for OBD on eBay, also Bulbs Lenses, Lights Lighting Accessories, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 23-May-09 22:50:26 BST)

They should do the trick from what I've googled out.

I was lucky I had them for £20 in a group buy with the Seat lot. I wouldn't pay that much either

I've just fitted those ceramic load resistors and the job is done, very pleased with led sides now :-)
