headlamp scorch

Featured Replies

I have just noticed that my 08 Scout with 10,000 on the clock appears to have developed a scorched brown look on the inside of the headlamp units. Its almost as if the bulbs are too hot for the interior of the unit. Not very impressed with a car that is only a year old and with a reasonably low mileage . Has anyone else notice this happening and should this be something I should get rectified under warranty?

I would certainly try, I've not seen it before. Is this with Xenons or Halogens?

They are halogens

Have the bulbs been uprated?

not as far as I know, car was an ex demo from dealer in Newport and all standard equipment plus maxidot, multifunction steering wheel.

It is a warranty claim for sure, but make sure you take it back to the seller as it may be that the bulbs are not standard
