slow delivery on new fabias

Featured Replies

Hi,

Not sure if anyone has posted about this, although I do remember seeing someone's delivery date being extended by a month.

When I was chatting to my dealer the other day, we came on to the subject of new Fabia's. Apparently when the last batch was brought over, they included the new 'facelifted version'. Skoda UK didn't think the would have new codes, so didn't register the codes with customs.

when they arrived, they got stuck at the docks for a month while all the paper work was being sorted out...

may be the reason for delays... :o

When I ordered mine last year (DEC) it took 3 months as demand was higher than supply.

What facelift is this? Do you know where I can find details?

Mine's on a boat at the moment, I'm hoping the design hasn't changed since I ordered it...

If it's a vRS it will be just the rear lights that have change everyso slightly and the dash is supposed to me made from a better material so don't worry.

My facelifted Fabia vRS was one of the first production batches, and it came a week late, after a 2.5 month wait to make sure I got the facelift and not the old shape. Having got my car, I can tell you that the only visible change on the vRS is the new-style rear lights. Other Fabias get a new front bumper and new wheels, plus some interior changes, depending on the spec level. There are lots of threads talking about the Fabia facelift on this site (with pictures too), but otherwise you can Google up some pictures easy as pie!

Ah, thanks for that! Must remember to use eyes before asking questions...
