As above, anyone know how to reset the TB?

Gonna take mine out to clean it, and I've heard they can be reset to match the map you are runing on the car...

or am I talking b*ll*cks?

It's not to match the map, just to allow the ECU to calibrate it.

ideally yeah, some people seem to say it can be done by removing the battery then reconnecting, but i just took mine to a stealership and got them to do it

You don't need to reset it at all if you don't disconnect it from the electrics, and you don't need to disconnect it from the electrics to clean it, so that's that one sorted then

You just need to take the body off the manifold, and the hose off the body, and give the body a good squirt inside with carb cleaner/WD40, rub it all clean, and get a mate (or a brick) to hold the accelerator down to open the flap and get around that so it's super clean.

make sure when using the friend (Brick!) that you use a tooth brush to clean the throttle butterfly, as if the friend (Brick!) slips it hurts like hell!!!!! not talking from personal experience but have seen the cutson someone else.. Ouch!

a job for my next days off then...
