Coolant Temp sensor

Featured Replies

Hello,

Octavia Mk2 1.6 FSI

The radiator fan was staying on for a few mins after the ignition was switched off, even when the car was still fairly cold (5 min journey).

Garage diagnosed a faulty coolant temp sensor and I'm getting this replaced. However, would a faulty sensor not mess with the temp guage on the dashboard?? As this has always been spot on.

Just making sure I am not being ripped off!

Thanks

Anyone?!

Give us a chance ..........

It's a dual function switch, so they "could" be right. The second part deals with the ecu signal though I'm not entirly sure that has anything too do with your problem.

Thanks. It does seem to have fixed the problem for now.
