I have a mk1 octavia, the rear bump stops on the shockers have perished and half missing, does any one know if these are an MOT failure? its booked in on friday for the test, il get some ordered if the general concensus is they are a failure item.

Not really sure if they would spot them? I changed mine before its MOT 3 years ago, but I was doing the shocks at the same time. Would you be doing the change yourself and would your garage let you take the car away to do the work before returning for a free retest, or would they charge?

I guess you could phone *different* garage and enquire about bumpstops and MOTs.

Mine went through fine with bump stops in two halves.
