Fabia VRS VS Fiesta ST

Featured Replies

It depends on what you want. I like the effortless punch of the Diesel without revving the nuts off the engine. The Furby is also an effortless motorway cruiser and feels like a much bigger car, albeit with quite a bit of tire roar, but I aim to cure than with new tires thanks to the advice on the tire thread.

The Fiesta is a terrific handling little car and would run rings around a Fabia in this department. The handling is the biggest disappointments on my standard VRS although I did come from a Pug 106 which handled like a go cart. It grips but there is a fair bit of roll and the steering is not that sharp. You pays your money...

If you don't like the thread, don't bother opening it at all...

Decron: you criticised one of my posts in the 2 stroke in diesel thread for not contributing anything - well /yawn doesn't contribute anything to this thread either.

I've read it before and still enjoy giving my good old bhp/ton ratios and the conclusive evidence that the Fiesta is faster in every way.

I've been in friend's ST and it feels the quicker car. TBH I'm growing tired of my Fabia, it now seems very slow, the suspension and handling is the worst thing about it manages to be harsh and slow speeds AND then soft when pressing on.

for a true comparison shouldn't it be the 2l fabia against the fiesta st ;) ;)

I know which one i'd rather have. unfortunalty I'd rather have the ST but thats because it's completly different to the fabia and they can't be compared as they are not aimed at the same target market.

Fiesta ST - Fun, more dedicated drivers toy car

Fabia vRS - Fun, more the motorway cruiser with economy in mind

had a bit of a play with one of these on way home from work ages ago tried out running me but he couldnt pull away i was starting to gain but he turned of lol vrs ftw

OK - I have concluded this thread has said enough on this subject, so locking it now as a preventative measure to it getting out of hand. :)
