65-70mph motorway cruise in a petrol vRS - What mpg?

Those calcs sound about right. When I looked at the TDI vRSes on offer, they were at least £1500 more on purchase cost. I just couldn't have made that back in the length of time I'll have the car. I do quite like my diesels but the 2.0T seemed the right choice to me

Plus I really do like the power delivery of the 2.0T and the level of low down torque it can produce. It's easy to drive it in an economical manner and almost like a diesel if you wish. Also, echoing the above - it really is pretty economical considering the performance it offers.
