location of sticking heater motor ?

Featured Replies

:o Had a look in the search and cannot find any info where the sticking heater motor is under the dash on my wifes Fabia TDi y2002, I have taken out the glovebox and there is a motor/gears on the nearside but it works the recirculate flap, I can hear a motor going somewhere ? anybody any clues/pics so I can take it out to clean it. cheers - Stuart.

You should get someone with VAG COM to tell you which one is having a problem, after you replace it you will need something like VAG COM to "teach" it where its end stops are anyway - its not just a drop in and use repair as these motors have pots on their ends to with feedback to the A/C controller that drives them.

:confused:Found a motor on the nearside and took it off and cleaned the cogs etc and its just a small motor with like you say a resistor potentiometer next to it, you have to line up the notches in the cogs and cam when refitting.
