Onboard computer?

MPG readout, distance left in the tank, second trip etc

My sdi don't have one

Is it possible to retrofit? How? Is it worth the hassle?

Several new modules and dash panel IIRC, plus steering column control stalks. Big money.

Not entirely sure if a new convienience unit would be required, but a steering module (maybe a new squib also, and clocks of around the same time of build would be required as the stalks.

Im currently working on this project on a Mk2 Octy with Shark_90, the door/boot/bonnet warnings were working with the Maxidot on the standard convienience unit, but with a new steering module and squib in place.

Like said above, its can become serious money...but i've gone too far with the rest of the car to get rid now and fork out for a Ambiente or Elegance spec.

Buy a VRS, you know you want to. :D

Does your sdi have an OBDII port? If so have you considered a ScanGauge?

My car s ex plod, it has NOTHING ... keep fit windows, aircon is Flinstone's stylee and the front ARB is made from a liquorice stick!

Good fun though :)

It should have a OBDII port. If it's there it will be behind the pull out cup holder thing on the right of the steering wheel. I believe it just pulls down (after being opened) and the port is behind that.
