valeting near sheffield

Featured Replies

Hi all, getting to the point where my vrs seats are in need of a really good clean, i have been putting it off for ages but am keen to get it done soon.

Im in sheffield and dont want to pay twice so i could do with a recomendation from someone on here who has had it done/seen it done. I want as near as possible to as it came out of the factory, i know i can rent a rug doctor etc... but just havent got the time and i want a proper job doing.

Gave it a go with that 1001 spray but gave up as it just cleaned very small areas and now looks worse!!

Thanks for reading....any ideas?

I wouldn't pay for any job I could potentially do myself. I certainly prefer to clean my own car rather than let anyone else do it. 1001 spray is a carpet stain remover - get yourself a proper upholstery cleaner from any decent auto shop and just follow the instructions on the bottle.

I would normally agree Mikey, i have always cleaned the interior of previous cars with ease and always keep the outside looking very clean (im a bit obsessed) but these vrs seats are a nightmare. I also have the problem of living inner city and having to make do with street parking. no garage to allow them to dry, and dont want to leave windows open all day.

Just wanted to get them back to new really, but thanks for the response

PS- wish i had a LE with those leather seats, must be a breeze to keep clean?

Hey buddy, I see your predicament. As for the LE - yeah man, I just wipe them over with some leather wipes from Halfords and they come up a treat! I have to admit, I had a 54 plate vRS about 8 months ago with the seats you speak of and they were a ballache to keep looking fresh. They were heated seats too so I had to be double careful when cleaning them!
