Yet Another Wheels Question!

Featured Replies

Found a set of wheels would love but prob is only available in 8 x 18 ET50!

Is there any way at all could get these to fit?

Need help as im already running 8 x 18's but dont have a clue about this spacing lark.

If anyone could help would be much appreciated!

i think mate they will tuck too far into the arches and you will prob need big spacers

35 is the norm for 18x8. the std 17x7 are 38iirc and they are in the arches a bit.

hope this helps mate.

What sort of size spacers we talking about?

Is it a case that if you add spacers then the et goes down? eg et35 + 5mm spacer = Et30

Sorry i havn't got a scooby :silly:

lol me neither mate but that sounds correct.

all I know is the smaller the number the more the wheels stick out from the hub. and et 50 would be pritty flat on the hub and to be honest et35 8x18 are still pritty cose to the suspension lol.

there was a few diagrams on google that explained it very well lol, had it saved till I formatted the HDD lol if I find it mate ill post it.

et is the offset (the number of millimetres the wheel centre sits inside or outside the hub)

so et35 means (iirc) the centre of the wheel sits 35mm outside the hub...

you'd be looking 15mm spacers mr farm, but how theyd then sit out of the arch is a different ball game

maybe if you wanted stretch look you could pull 215s least then it would be rim edge out the arch :D

running the 225s you got youd be looking at them sitting 15mm further out from there

do they do the vw/octi fitment mate? the 5x100? "i beleve"

WOW Thats ACE!

how do you do that? I read it ok tho lol

lol

If they are ET50 then you will need to get a 15mm Hubcentric spacer kit from someone like venommotorsport.co.uk

The car needs wheels to be approx E38 to ET35

You can make the offset go down (i.e push the wheels out) but cant bring them in....

15mm will be spot on...

I'm sure some of the Briskoda Partners will do them too... Awesome for one should be able to help...

Just make sure you get longer bolts to match the spacers too...
