Lights not flashing on car lock.

Featured Replies

Yesterday all seemed ok until I checked the car at night, put wheel-lok on etc. Locked the car, heard the noise of the locks going but the indicators didnt flash, tried it 3 times. They flash on unlock (single and double press), just not lock (single or double press). Tried the doors, they had locked, was wondering if this meant the alarm wasnt working?

Tried this morning on way out, unlocked fine but no locking flash. Arrived back 20 minutes later and it was back to normal, flash on lock. Hmmm.

Is this a sign that something is on its way out? or is this another secret combination of buttons and switches that does something daft? Battery maybe? Or other of course:confused:

Probably just one of the door switches not working as it should. Did the dome light (if in the door position) remain on or not fade out when locked with the problem ?

It did fade, the maxidot didnt display any open doors, no lights on on the dash, etc. Weird.

Will the car disable the alarm if the battery is low? And would this cause the lights to not blink also?
