The Octy was top of its group with Skoda 4th in the manufacturers

upper medium car - toyota prius? wtf? why on earth does that fit in that group?

Because there wasn't a separate grouping for poxy electric cars which don't do anywhere near the economy they are supposed to do ????

also id have thought the octavia was a bigger car, more along the size of an S40 even if it is based on the smaller golfs floorpan, after all the s40 is based on the focus is it not?

Electric, don't you mean 'Hybrids'? - neither one thing nor the other, a bit of this and a bit of that.

For the record the Prius is 4450mm long and 1725mm wide. The Octavia is 4569mm long and 1769mm wide.

So how can the Prius be in the "Upper Medium Group"

My apologies for not being precise

Exactly

If the scoring for every car surveyed is on the same scale, then the Octavia is head of the lowest scoring segment of the survey (Apart from city cars, but they're mostly junk anyway). Are there details somewhere as to how the score is arrived at? If its subjective customer satisfaction then thanks to the general anti-Skoda bias most people have, people who buy them will be more militant in their satisfaction with the car (Though I looked before buying mine and couldn't find anything as good from other manufacturers even before price came into it). Impressive to see Skoda and Toyota matched in 4th on the manufacturers though :).
