Drainage holes

Featured Replies

Where are the drainage holes on the doors??? I have looked and checked but cannot find them, I keep getting small puddles on the rubber mats after its been raining, I know about sealing the back ones and I wonder if its worth drilling a few small holes in the bottom of the doors

If you drill any kind of holes in the car you will instantly void the anti perforation warranty on the car so I advise you not to go near the car with the old cordless Bosch :D

Are the holes under the rubber strip that runs along the bottom of the door and if this strip was removed would it help things??/

I'll be honest when I say I haven't looked myself. I have never had problems with water ingress so no cause to check.

If you look at the bottom of the one of the front doors, there's a bit sticking out horizontally from the door, riveted on, which closes into a black plastic locator hole at the bottom of the door frame. IIRC, there is just one drain, which is a small rectangular hole right next to the sticky out riveted on bit.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but I'm not near an Octavia right now :)
