I have a 08 petrol VRS estate and my log book states that my tax band for G/KM of CO2 is J as my car omits 188 G/KM of CO2 = £215 annually , but looking in auto express it states the G/KM of CO2 for the VRS is 175 in band H = £175 annually, is this just my car thats different or are your VRS's the same or is it just that the facelift model has reduced it's CO2 levels ?

Skoda sales brochure for 2008 spec vRS petrol shows CO2 emissions at 188 g/km whilst the 2009 brochure shows a reduced CO2 of 175 g/km. Not sure what they did to the engine to achieve that reduction.

Current VED charge for 188 g/km is 215 quid (band J).
