Columbus thought I was in France

Featured Replies

When leaving home to travel to Winchester last weekend I entered our destination into the Columbus and was surprised to hear a voice telling me that our journey would involve a ferry crossing!

When the map display came up it showed our location as somewhere in France, a mere 746 miles from Winchester.

After pressing a few buttons I found that the unit could only see two satellites, and as soon as I pulled out of the driveway we found ourselves back in Norfolk.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Explain to me again how satellite positioning speed limiting is foolproof!;)
