about right, or overpriced?

i just paid £3350 for a yellow 2001 vRS on a 51 plate with 47k on the clock with full service history. mine was advertised as having esp, but only has asr. less than £3k sounds good to me, but i'm sure someone will come along and tell me otherwise. how good is the condition, mine needed a good valet and new badges all the was round, front bumper was also cracked, but then i've seen other cars with same year and milage for £4.5k, the question is, how much do you want it :)

Paid £3100 for mine in jan. 2001 75k full history (non skoda)

I'd say if its a clean one snap it up for £2850 as he states in his ad he won't be dissapointed

Bit over Tbh £2500 is more like it tbh!!!

I paid £3300 for my 54 Plate :)

you paid well over the odds buddy!!!!!!!!!

thats mint car money and yours clearly wasnt:O

i'd been looking for one in my area for three months, it may be mint car money in your area, but it hasn't been around here. far from it. i just missed out on an 02 plate with 55k for 4200, it went an hour after going on sale, to be fair, i've described mine as a lot worse than it really is. i'm just very fussy. the crack in the bumper is almost invisible under the number plate, the badges were a slightly odd colour and i'm a bit of a detailing nut. although i didnt get a bargain, i think i paid a fair price from a dealer. especially with a bloody good trade in they gave me.

more info

Vrs prices seem to be all over the place at the moment,if you look on auto trader etc there is some cheap ones & some very expensive ones! i would always rather pay a bit more for the better car as a "bargain" may not prove to be such a good buy a few months down the line! at the end of the day if your happy with your car & the price you payed for it, enjoy it! :)

i traveled 3.5 hours on the train to get mine cos was cheaper up north!

last July I bought a Y reg 2001 82k on it, red VRS, for 2800 had receipts for waterpump, cambelt etc, and guy was ex skoda technician, he had vag com etc etc, spoke to him and and was confident he was honest and he talked the talk abotu vag com, metal impellor etc etc and touch wood been ok.

it did need two tyres for MOT and needed tax and MOT abotu a week after I got it though.

I got my 53 plate in october of last year, with 55K on the clock for £3700, full skoda service history (mainly Bickerton)

a few more marks than i'd have liked as it turned out, but tbh it was about £1000 less, give or take, than the nearest like for like at that time... :)

if that helps

Hi folks,

I found the RS to be cheaper down south, I live in the North East and there was nothing with normal miles and under 4K. Most were 4.5K close to 100K on them.

So I travelled 4hrs to Leicester for mine, "52" 42K, full service Hist, Mint Con. Under 4K. I think I could sell it up here for 4300 all day long (especially now its the cleanest RS in the North). Got my through ebay but sacked off the bidding and just email each other to agree the final price.
