Blo-off?????

Featured Replies

Guys,

Had my Octy remapped in January, obviously this has increased the boost because the turbo is noticeably louder, but yesterday I noticed, what sounded like a DV blo-off! Does this signify its imminent death? or perhaps a by-product of the remap?

Lee.

is it with your foot down or when you let off the throttle?

hmm am not sure on the mk2 but i know on the mk1 it is usually recommended that the DV be uprated to a forge or other item if your going for a remap :)

Damn!

Read the title and thought the local brothel was offering discounts :(

Nevermind :D

The DV (dump/diverter valve) should recirculate the turbo boost on the octy, but since the boost increase on the remap I can now hear a 'blo-off' type sound, indicating that some of the air is escaping through a damaged diaphragm.

Hope that makes more sense.
