Replacement Glass Headlight Covers on the Octy Mk1

Featured Replies

Hi,

Recently had the priviledge of having my glass headlight cover on my pre-facelift MK1 cracked, and am looking for replacements to get me through my MOT next week.

I'm having trouble finding replacements at my local breakers, and am not sure if there are any other car's that these would be used on - VWs, Seats, Audi's etc?

Any ideas?

I'm pinged Jorily for a quote, but not holding my breath!

Thanks

Silly question, but have you tried your local Skoda dealer?

As the glass is available separately for the pre-facelift lights, it's probably not that dear.

I think that there was a glass on ebay the other week, have you looked on there too?

Thanks for that. I had rang them, but was told the glass wasn't available seperately, and it would cost £127 for the new headlight which made me choke!

I had looked on ebay, but obviously not for the right terms! -- Thanks for the link!

From that ebay & bits of googling-

97-00 Headlamps:

1U2 941 115 - Left

1U2 941 116 - Right.

I like having part numbers - so much easier!

Thanks!

Change LHD lens to RHD lens cover!

No problem.

The lenses on the post facelift are not replaceable, so that is probably what they have quoted you for.

For Clarity and those doing further searches in the UK:

1U2 941 115 is passenger side

1U2 941 116 is drivers side

Got one from stealers, other from scrappy. Just hoping the gasket's are ok!
