Injection blow back Fabia 1.4 mpi

Featured Replies

my son in law removed the injector rail on my daughter fabia thinking it was the spark plugs!

He assured me he replaced it back straight away tightening the plastic rail down properly. He came across to my house and said it was sort of misfiring and making an 'air' type noise.I removed the Skoda top cover and noticed there was a blow back on number 3 injector.I removed them, cleaned them but still running a bit rough.

Any suggestions?

As he thought it was necessary to remove the spark plugs, was he trying to fix an existing running problem? With regard to the fuel injectors it may be a good idea to replace the O ring seals on them. The MPi isn't the smoothest of engines, though they do seem to be better after having the throttle body cleaned.
