Australian Advice Needed

Featured Replies

Earlier in the year we were looking at getting a RS wagon but opted for the Forester XT instead. A quicker car and more thirsty compared to the Skoda but what a lovely exhaust note:D

Will probably trade it in for a RS TDi wagon in the next two years.

Also just purchased an i30 CRDi - have to say for a 1.6 engine it feels pretty quick - not as fast as the Fabia vRS we had in the UK but no slouch. Will probably trade this in for the new Fabia vRS when it finally arrives in Oz.

Two years on and 18 months in to ownership of octy fl dsg rs estate. Great car. Only disappointments have been fluffing of mesh and broken lumbar support control on drivers seat. Also has noisy rear tyres and the noisy waste gate issue which afflicts the tsi engine. Waiting to hear whether skoda Australia will fix under warranty. I know vw aus are fitting the new clip to golf gtis with same engine.

Will sell when six months warranty left. May go for superb given that next Octavia seems like 2013. Passat wagon with 1.8 tsi and standard leather can be had for same money - low 40s so may be a good option.

Hope all the other Australian owners on this forum are still enjoying the ownership experience.
