Warning Lights.

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone offer any advice please.

2008 Vrs Petrol.

I have had ABS, Traction control and tyre pressure warning lights illuminate on three or four occasions recently. They will light up just as I am driving along, stay on for a short while, then go out. Today they have stayed on for several miles. Also noticed speedo needle moving around, and not reading true speed as I was driving along.

Not sure if there is any connection, but recently had car in for a problem with cooling fan coming on by itself. Dealer replaced ebox, which looked like a fuse box to me! Water ingress into this fuse/ebox was causing fan to do its own thing, replaced under warranty.

Does anyone know if ABS and traction control lights are lit on dashboard, means these are not working and car has switched them off, after detecting a problem.

Will contact dealer again tomorrow!!

You need to have the codes read, but I'd guess at a faulty ABS sensor, as ABS, TC and tyre pressure monitoring all use them.

Sounds like a dashpod fault.

Hope you're covered by warranty!
