Right i recently removed my LCR splitter from my Fabia vRS... 2 thoughts about it really... the mass of plastic drastically cheapens the front end... plus having a splitter is 'chav' is it not? the LCR splitter seems to be the new laguna splitter.... which cant be a good thing as i had one on a 1.2 p reg corsa

am i getting older and more tasteful or am i just an idiot....

discuss

Yay = positive they look good

Nay = they look rubbish

I did consider doing it while I had the bumper off to fix my foglight and (to attempt) to fit the 5l washer bottle, but the thought sanding the heads off all those self-tappers filled me with dread... What struck me, though, was that the bottom edge of the front bumper slopes down towards the wheels which made me think that the splitter would look like it was tilted upwards... :ne_nau:

i'll have to go with "they look alright" as i have one fitted :D but they are a bit chav but I couldn't find a bodykit to put dodgily cut mesh into and couldn't be arsed with viper stripes!

and i didn't vote cos i wasn't sure if it was "yay or nay they are ok" or "yay or nay they are chav"!

I think on it's own it's o.k but if you were to start strapping all sorts of stuff to the outside of your Fabia like it had crashed through the front window on Motorworld then it would become a chav component.

When I fitted mine I was kinda like 'hmm . . . i'm not sure' but i'm happy enough with it.

Therefor I have voted 'yay' for being o.k

A yay for me.

Maybe its depends on the colour of your car, but I think it really suits a yellow vRS.

I agree really does suit a yellow Fabia, I don't think it's chavvy but is a lot more popular mod to do to the car.

I think the vRS really needs something like the splitter to change the look of the car as it looks strange without it.

I like them. Simples.

When I see one without I think they look strange.

I used to really want one, but over time have decided I couldn't live with it.

It's the odd fit where the dipped middle is an inch or two away from the bumpers dip. Would drive me mental each time I saw it.. Shame really, it would be perfect if the dip was just a little wider! I do think it suits face life bumpers more than vRS's though.. it looks almost OEM on those :)

they look exellent in my opinion , seen a couple and like em lots

Fitting one to my Octy once i've had the stone chips sorted, looks good on yellow.

I fitted one 2 weeks ago... im still not sure i like it.

Think it makes the car look dated.... will give it a bit more time.

Dated???? Just makes the front look lower than it is.

Deffo Yes vote from me.

I'm a fan of them, but I'll agree they do look better on facelift non-vRS bumpers (because I have one on mine :))

Mine was on when I got the car but even if it wasnt I would have put one on anyways !

I think it looks good on a fabia because it fits the bumper better but I have seen them on other makes of cars and they have looked pretty grim !

Jason I thought you were selling your fabia seen as its been put back to standard ?

Id say "not"!

Its OEM

Fits the lines of the bumper

Looks almost like its made to be there

Bumper looks alot better with then without

However, i do think they only suit the vRS bumper. Seem them on afew non vRS bumpers and they just look bodged on!

I'm going with "yay" too..

As like VRS Goldie Jon said - it makes the car look lower, without actually having to lower it

And I've got one

ffs voted wrong, should have read your post first

ffs voted wrong, should have read your post first

I did the same lol

If its fitted on correctly it looks good!

I dont think its chavvy, lexus lights however........:)

I like them on a Fabia VRS, suit the VRS better than on a LCR IMO

There is a school of thought that says any visual mod is automatically chavvy. Dropping the car massively on coilovers etc. Personally I like the LCR splitter, and I may well get one in the near future. It's also dirt cheap.

I like the look of it, I think it does look like a natural progression of the lower front bumper. However I've caught mine a couple of times on curbs, speed bumps etc. and I can say knackered ones don't look half as cool.

Off topic, howz the car hunt going Jason? What are you thinking of getting?
