The Blue Bolt

Featured Replies

Heres a bit about my car and some of what i have planned for her.

She was formally known as the blue bullet, but Carl stole the name off me, how rude:P;) So i re-cristened her the blue bolt.

I had her from new and for the first 7 months I never changed anything as i was happy.

Then i fell down some slippery slope as a direct result of joining this forum, and i dont seem to have managed to get back up it yet.

And there are alot of members on here who are to blame, Damn you!!!

Thanks mate, saw the wheels in drkuthans pics and thought it looked well smart. plus im booked in for window tints, which i forgot to mention before, so i think they might go well together

yes this site should have a safety warning on the home page

"Briskoda can seriously damage your wallet!"

lovely looking vRS, but then i'm biased! ;)

  • Author

not biased, just well informed, lol

Very nice

Best colour too :D

Nice list of mods/planned mods you got going there

How do you find the AP coilies, as this is something I may be doing in the future.

Keep up the good work

Cheers

Damian

Nice car Sy

Not as nice as the Blue Bullet tho :P :D

Piece of advice though. Unless your thinking about putting some serious power through the engine and a mahoosive turbo i wouldn't bother getting both a twintercooler and S3 intercooler. S3 intercooler will be just fine even with a KO4 conversion. Put it towards the Diff :)

I blame this site aswell for leading me down that slippery slope. Im about 100m further down it than you and im still sliding :D:D:D

im edging towards the twintercooler as i reckon that combined with the standard intercooler will prove more effective than the S3 intercooler on its own.

plus it looks pretty cool.

as for combining the two together i would only do that if i went the big turbo route, and that would be a long way off

been buying stuff again.

just purchased MK2 Audi TT lower control arms, ball joints and locking plates. going to get them fitted at the same time as my WALK.

this should hopefully put me in the region of -2 degrees camber on the front wheels, which with the dynamic camber from the WALk should make for a huge amount of grip when cornering.:D

ill be having a full geometry check once they are fitted.

here are the part numbers for anyone interested:

Lower arms : 8J0 407 151 (same part number both sides)

Ball Joint : 8J0 407 365/366

ball joint lock plate (8J0 407 175,176)

its cost me 240 euro tax free from an audi stealership over here in germany, you could probably get it cheaper though in UK from a breakers maybe.

Wait out for a review once installed.

heres some pics(not mine though)

cheers mate.

ive got a severe spending addiction on the car. which is about to stop as im posted back to UK so i lose out on all my allowances:mad:. Hence the mass spend out recently:rolleyes:before i travel back.

Im mega into trying to sort out the handling on my car though since driving my mates Evo Fq 300 a few months back. it made the vRS seem soggy and rubbish. hence the poly bushes etc. I reckon she'll handle fantastic after that

next option for the engine though is water methanol injection. expecting about 15bhp from that, plus it supposably cools the inlet temps down like an intercooler and will prolong the life of the engine
