hey guys till today my cars been starting fine and now it only seems to want to start when it feels like it

i think it could be the starter motor on the way out but how would i tell for sure ?

Starter motor is the pre-engaged type, so most likely the starter bendix is worn, or has a missing/chipped tooth. If your unlucky, could also be the ring gear on the flywheel.

ive checked the wires now anyway made no dif

so i decided to beat the crap outta it with a hammer for a bit and seems to work last night time going to go and try it again in a moment

also got the engine light on is there anyway i can turn that off ? but i can tell you it seems to go much better with the light on lol

lol well that great bit of mechanical knowledge has actually fixed the starter motor it starts again everytime perfectly now

but the engine management light is still on any way to get rid of it

lol nah i cant use that method on that its not as solid as the rest of the car in that respect lol
