Octavia vRS Limited Edition snaps on Flickr

Featured Replies

Well these snaps were so nice I ended up buying one, if the owner of the car posts here - thanks for the wonderful images Jason, better than any official Skoda information. Best shots I have ever seen of this model on the net, if anyone has any more links to the LE can they post here too.

Skoda Octavia VRS LE - a set on Flickr

I upgraded to this from a Octavia Mk I vRS 1.8T Estate - loved from day one till now 3 years later.

Hi ya,

Twas me that took the pics. Glad you like them and they helped you with your decision.

Hope you enjoy your new car as much as I'm enjoying mine,

Regards,

Jasper (Jason)

Getting mine in the next week Jase - hence old car in profile, yep pictures were/are superb, so good in fact I know my first serious digital camera will be a Pentax K100D. Your pics are the best ones I've sene on the net for the car. Nothing too flash just great shots.

Cheers mate

you werent at moneysupermarket in ewloe last week were you jasper?: saw a LE estate pull out of their about 5ish when I was in work

Very nice photos

Where were they taken?

Steve

llandulas beach i think

Sworall,

Yes mate I work at moneysupermarket - do you work around that area in Ewloe?

I also own at Fabia2 Sport TDI in red with a white roof. I'm either in that or the Octavia at work (depending which car is last on the drive at home!)

And yes, the pictures were taken on Llandulas beach.

If i see your blue VRS in Ewloe I'll give you a wave!

Regards.

so it was you then! I work at Welsh Water across from your building thats above the bank. My car and another blue vrs are usually in the car park below your north facing windows :) Ill keep a look out for you

Jase, my LE arrived today. I am happier than a pig in sh.....................whooooooooopsy.

Alloys are much nice in the flesh than the webshots I have seen.

Picked mine up yesterday.

Really pleased with it, and lots of people having a close look in the carpark

Quite like the complete black of the LE badge (which has worn off)

When I got mine about a month ago, my dealer (ALS Lock near Ely) had been told by SUK to remove the LE badge after reports of their poor quality (it was already peeling when the car was in the showroom). They'd even pre-arranged warranty work to fix the slight damage to the paintwork where the badge was before I'd collected the car.

I'm expecting a replacement (and I've been told a redesigned) badge sometime next month. I doubt it'll ever go on the car but it's odd how other dealers haven't followed suit.

VRS LE

my badge has been on back order now for 7 weeks and the dealer has no idea when coming in given up and painted in lettering just as good if not better

HAD 65MPG ANYONE BEAT THAT

The only thing I can really moan about the car when I recieved it was that the letters of my LE badge are the back were thus in red :

LIMITED E_I___N with a load of letters gone, I assume in the valeting of the new car before delivery. Why on earth put crappy paper sticky lettering on an embossed badge is beyond me, better off leaving the letters off to have un undersated black LE badge.

I then spent 20 minutes peeling off the remaining red letters to have the "stealth" black LE badge, which I very much like TBH. Little things like the chrome valve caps on the Monza wheels, the Bolero TS radio/CD/MP3/SD thingy a piece of joy. Oh lordy what a step up in cabin feel in relation to the Oct I VRS I had. Looking at the 1 year old VRS models on the Skoda used page with 3-10K on the clock and what we have got with the LE makes me think we have landed a huge bargain chaps.

Little things like the chrome valve caps on the Monza wheels.

Sad to say but they won't last long.

Right chaps have taken a few shots for posterity, not as arty as Jasper's but the car is the star as they say :

July-09-009.jpg?t=1246111084 - Side View 2

July-09-011.jpg - Stealth LE Badge.

July-09-016.jpg - Internal

July-09-004.jpg?t=1246111297 - 18" Monza Alloys

Hopefully will give some prospective buyers a glimpse of the car close up.

Sorry, but those wheels are still naff. Rest of the car looks great.

I have had my LE since 26th April 2009 - its No. 203.

I love it - its an amazing car, we have been totally overwhelmed with what a great car it is - even after owning, Passats, A4s, Golfs and Leons.

I have had my badge replaced under warranty, prefer the other stock VRs wheels.

I noticed though that mine has Dunlops on it, and the one I saw in wraps at Peterborough today had Continentals on.

Ive got the Le as wel, and alot of people under estimate the car, as in what it comes with.

luckly the letters on mine havent started to peel yet, but thats only matter time.

I have to say with all letters peeled does look quite good. As for the caps yes they will get nicked cos some prat or prats nicked mine:thumbdwn:.

I defo think the iceing on the cake is seats, everyone comments on how comfortable they are.

had my le estate 4 weeks now and i also must thank jasper for his wicked pictures they made up my mind to buy the car , and i like, not love the wheels, except when its time to clean them ,then i don't like them at all !

It's OK but those wheels, as other posters have said...

Are my wheels supposed to be that colour??!!

I think I may give mine a clean later.........

Actually, they are a similar colour to the bodywork now. Doesn't look bad.

Yes OK the wheels are not to everyone’s tastes but all you read about the LE is people knocking them – missing the bigger picture. They can be changed for 18” Zeniths @ £135 a pop if they displease you so much, I even considered this myself until I received my LE, and do you know what I can live with them chaps – they are quite appealing in the flesh even to my negative bias beforehand – when you consider the cost in the overall price package they are a small part of the equation.

One thing is for sure, the leather seats are magnificent and are a very big upgrade on the current £800 leather option, as is the special anthracite paintwork due to be the only VRS in that colour, the internals of the car are more important to me than the “stock” LE alloys, and after coming from a Mk I VRS to the LE, the inside of the car is stunning step up and even an upgrade over the MkII & Facelift £800 VRS leather option.

I have had 2 VRS owners gawking at it in the streets since I got mine with positive views. The Bolero & Maxidot are also superb. Quite simply the only slight negative on this car is the alloys, which can be changed. With no VAT in June a very very good car for the money got even better. And for some people the new headlights on the facelift model is a retrograde step, I went into a dealership looking for a 1 year old MK II VRS with 5-10K on the clock and came away with a brand new LE at a lesser cost than a fully pimped leather option VRS with 18" alloys.

So guys we know the wheels are contentious but in the overall package a small blip you must agree. Let’s get real about it. I thought this forum was about promoting the brand and the good things it does, the LE and even the stock LE wheels are not as bad as is being pointed out, simply change them if you don’t like them.
