Usually yes. Think they are about £12 from dealer.

im starting to think ive ordered the wrong part, is it the orange lock catch thats actually on the tailgate itself, or is it part of the striker plate which is on the rear panel of the car

can someone clarify, ive searched on here for ages now and still cant find an answer

It's part of the mech within the rear panel, on the bumper.

I'm sure I've seen someone have this issue before. I'll do a quick search and see if I can uncover some more info....

now received the bottom part, but it doesnt look like this is what i need, are we sure its not something in the lock mechanism itself, the orange part attached to the tailgate

i'm sure the latch (orange bit on tailgate) has a micro switch in it which tells a module when the tailgate is closed , if not closed , warning lamp on dash

on the tailgate

thanks for the replies, ill get the other bit instead tomorrow
