Approved warranty renewal

Featured Replies

I received a letter from skoda today telling me i can have an additional years approved warranty on my vrs for £349 a year. the price also includes rac roadside/recovery. I've owned my car since last July and its now done 35k miles. Last year did get done the door seals and cam positon sensor under warranty.no fuss

Is it worth getting this warranty for that amount?

has any of you done this? i.e. taken them up on another year?

I would not recomend it.

I had to pay £80 for an inspection (1 hour max diagnostic) for them to tell me that it would cost them to strip everything to accually find out what the problem was.

i.e £400 for a dash strip

The only thing covered is the engine mainly, and if looked after i dont see that giving up the ghost

I received my renewal from them too yesterday!

I think on one hand it is a good idea but on the other a lot of people I know think that warranties aren't worth the paper they're written on!

My Vrs is going into the garage on wednesday to have an electrical fault looked into and I wouldn't be suprised if they try to charge me even though I've still got another month left of the original 12 month warranty when I bought the car!

We'll see what happens but I don't think I'll be renewing it!

My 3 year warranty expired on 15th June but I never received a warranty renewal offer.

I did advise Skoda customer service that I was the new owner and filled in the warranty slip notifying them.

Bit disappointing!
