Another split hose and catch can hose

Featured Replies

Very interesting indeed!

Trying to understand this - he's removed quite a lot!

Not intending to do this when I fit my catch can (ordered yesterday!)

I like the mounting point he's used, will copy that, but things like brake boosters sound important to me :D

Yeah I know! He shouldn't have removed the line from the one-way valve on the T-piece to the inlet manifold, if he's feeding the catch can outlet back to the PCV on the inlet hose. That's pretty bad in my opinion. If he was venting to atmosphere then fair enough, but now when he's engine braking the gases have nowhere to go, where they should really go directly into the inlet manifold via the one-way valve.

Removing the suction spray/vacuum boost pump shouldn't cause any problems. I'm not sure how much it really 'boosts' the vacuum anyway, as enough people seem to be running without them.

thats the same way i did mine but did not touch the pcv valve or remove the upper part as that is the vacuum for the brake booster and is needed

i will get another pic of mine up later

from my T piece it replaces the pipe that runs to the crack case from the Y piece

its very very easy to do guys you will see that when you are installing yours :thumbup:
