Pause between tracks when playing cds?

Featured Replies

My standard cd player on my Octy II puts a 4 second countown of silence between each track when you play a cd, which is really annoying if your listening to a mix cd!

Anyone know if it's possible to change this setting? and if so how to do it?

I've read the cd player manual and fiddled with all the settings I can find, but to no avail so far.

Thank you.

Are these discs you have burnt yourself, if they are then the software that created the CD is the most likely culprit as Nero and Roxio by default add silence between tracks if the recording mode is set to the default setting of track at once rather than disk at once.

Yup, check the settings in your burning software, will be something about "track gap" somewhere.

Thanks very much guys. You are almost certainly right because I've tried playing a 'proper' bought cd and there is no problem, so it must be something to do with this track gap setting. I'll have a look tonight and try to change it.

Thank you.
