evoms, and VF engineering do good intakes for the vRS 200, giving gains of around 8-10bhp, JKM perfomance sell these,

alternatively the are power flow intakes from awesome-gti you can look into, not sure of the gains but they wont be to far off.

reference remaps, you have lots of options and yes they are the best thing you can do for your car for such little cost. huge huge difference, and you will like it.

1-BLUEFIN (can be installed/ removed and reinstalled and updated by your self provided you have a computer and internet)

2-REVO(a little more powerful than bluefin but you need to go to a garage to have it installed)

3-APR(not to sure of accurate figures as not many people on this forum have the apr map on the vRS 200, but the golf gti guys say good things)

4-P-TORQUE(dont know to much about it)

5-CUSTOM CODE(dont know to much about it.)

the two most common ones are Revo and bluefin

do a search for any of them and you'll get loadsa pages of info

also go onto JKmperformance and have a look at the gallery where there are results of all the Rolling road days hel there

Read the car idiot!

You will be spending a lot of money if you want a reliable 200hp :)

I dont get what you mean there:confused:. he said he already has the 200ps mk 2 vRS.

Think your getting confused with Fabia's there yegnold.

To the OP

Basically what Simon has already said.

:D a touch! I thought Octavia owners were far too grown up/old to think about induction kits?

Not really, I have one on mine and it did make a worthwhile difference. I wouldn't say 8-10bhp but y'know, most of the figures are made up anyway.

Hi mate ive got a forge forced air induction kit fitted and its very good, The air filter is hidden behind the n/s/f inner wheel arch liner so you have no issues with hot air being drawn into the engine. some kits have the air filter in the engine bay which isnt a good idea when you consider the temprature that can be generated from a hard working engine. basicaly you need the intake temp cool/cold as poss (cold air means more oxygen and more bang for your pound) one final thing these induction kits arnt noisey like some injection cars of old

i didnt even realise forge did a CAI for the vRS. i know they are developing the twin CAI.

The forge one looks really nice (seen it on Sherlock's car).
