Ok my VIn plate has the following on

1950kg

3350kg

1 - 1100kg

2 - 1100kg

650kg

So im assuming its 1100kg

Carl:thumbup:

Do you mean the maximum load the front wheels on the car can carry? That should be in the tech section of the manual under axle loadings.

If you mean the weight of the front axle for shipping you'll have to find how much of the front suspension is involved (Not that I have a list of weights myself though). There is no part you could really call the front or the rear axle in an Octavia 2 as they have fully independent suspension, so the closest you get to axles are the shafts transferring drive from the gearbox to each of the front wheels.

So nice one

Thank you all so much

Sarah

Ok my VIn plate has the following on

1950kg (Max Allowable Mass)

3350kg (Gross Train Weight)

1 - 1100kg (Front Axle)

2 - 1100kg (Rear Axle)

650kg (Trailer)

So im assuming its 1100kg

Although I would have thought that the GTW = MAM + Trailer?

Just for the record, here is the data from the Octy II Facelift Manual....

Can't seem to find the equivalent page in the original Octy II manual, but you have it above anyway.

I looked all over on google and downloaded all sorts of bits of info

That is why I decided to ask the clever guys on here

You did not dissapoint me :grouphug:

Sarah

HTH

It is, it's just that the Octi can pull 650kgs no trailer brakes and 1200-1450 kgs with brakes.

The axle load is also an issue when braking hard, the car tends to sit on its nose during that time.
