I changed the Timing chain yesterday it was noisy i first flushed the engine then took of the sump gave it wash with thinners put her back together new oil new filter oil light still comes on after driving a short time i can then hear a slight tappet noise when i get out the car thats not there when she is cold So its Oil pressure:( I dont know ware to start now may be oil pump:rotz:

You will get a better idea of the engine condition if you fit an oil pressure gauge

and take it from there.

If the engine is knocking, it sounds like the big ends are shot :(

Hi no she is not knocking she sounds sweet now after doing the timing chain until she is hot and i can hear the tappets i phoned my dealer they could not see a pump on there system so i went to my local parts shop they did a few phone calls turns out they don't sell a pump they sell parts to replace the worn out parts of the pump
