MAF sensor

Featured Replies

Is there a way of checking wither the MAF sensor is faulty before replacing it?

My car is a bit "spluttery" when cold; and is consistently averaging 23mpg (driving like a granny!)

Anyone?

Disconnecting it will put you in limp mode - not exactly high-performance, but supposedly a noticeable change for the better!

but that won't tell me if it's faulty will it?

what else could it be? - if it was a failing coil pack I'd get the spluttring all the time surely...

Vag com would allow you too read it's measurement.

Its should pull around 180g/s at high RPM on a mapped car iirc

Other than that I doubt theres anyway, maybe a multimeter but I have no idead what reading you'd be looking for.
