With regret, i will be saying farewell to the Fabia next Friday (subject to a cheque clearing on time) to make way for an 08 Octavia vRS PD170. It's black and i was well impressed on the test drive. Not as punchy as the Furb but power felt a lot more progressive.

The Fabia has given me endless motoring pleasure over the last 2 &1/2 years and has been the best car i've owned by a country mile, but i've always enjoyed bigger cars, and being a big fella the Fabia sometimes felt a bit small.

Would just like to say a big thanks for all the advice, especially when conquering the infamous 'stutter'. This forum really is a priceless vault of knowledge and experience.
