Loud annoying rattle inside undertray

Featured Replies

I think dirt or something's got iinside the sealed undertray beneath my 06 Fabia TDI.

I'm loathe to take it to the garage for this, but I can't see a simple method of taking the undertray off to clean inside.

I'm sure this is an incredible Newbie question (and I ought to have a Haynes manual or something to tell me how) but is it a simpke job to take it off and put it back without special tools or new replacement screws?

I really don't want to get halfway through and get stuck, but the rattle is incredible annoying.

Thanks for the help

theres a few torque screws running round the outer edge of the tray, once you take those out you can simply pull the tray out.

its not a hard job, some of the screws can be tricky to reach from on the ground but is entirely possible.

Easiest way to do it is to park your car half on and half off the pavement outside your house.

Then crawl underneith at the kerb, plenty of room to undo the 6-8 torx screws.
