Sorry if this is a nitwit question (but I am a bit of a point & shoot bloke !!) but what is the best way to obscure your number plate in pics please ?

I have no burning need to do this at the moment, unless anyone wants to see my dirty car ! but this type of thing gets filed under:

Being a techie numpty, I just open pics in MS Paint, and do a white square, and resave.

What Jason said or if you want them to look pretty, fire up photoshop / paint shop pro / paint.net / whatever, select the registration mark area and just do a mosaic blur with the smallest block size that still manages to scramble the letters enough.

For whatever reason the thanks button is letting me say err "Thanks", so...Ta Chaps !

Or you could tape over your plate before you take the pics
