i'm going to fit an amp this week in the boot of my vrs. Any ideas on where to earth it?

You should be able to find one in the area of the either of the rear lamp clusters.

There are a few points, on the left side there is a earthing lug on the backside of the wheel arch and below the rear light cluster. The former being better for me as less paint had stuck.

Best would be rear seat belt mount IMO - as long as its tightened up safely afterwards

I also have an earthing point down on the rear boot fitting/bracket/mechanism. Good chunk of iron down under that bit of trim where the boot attaches itself to!

mounted mine to the passenger side rear light cluster bolt at the bottom, a couple of slits in the carpet sorted the running of the cable to the back of the boot.
