Where's the real SE spec gone?

Featured Replies

Just been comparing the spec's James kindly gave us for the UK Yeti to the Octavia, and came to the following conclusion:

The Yeti E and S spec appears to be similar to that of the Octavia S and S + a couple of options respectively,

Yeti SE is slightly better equipped than the Octavia Elegance

Yeti Elegance about on par with the Octavia L&K.

Therefore what has happened to the the real SE spec?:(

No not unhappy more surprised how close the sec of the E and S are, but then there's a fairly big jump to the SE.

Goes for the engine line-up to.

Just wonder what segment of the market they are targeting with this most diverse trim.

As I said in a previous thread, I think the top spec (Elegance) may be targeted at base model Freelander customers.

Or would-be Tiguan buyers? I was disappointed at how close the prices were to the VW Tiguan until I realised how little kit you get as standard in a Tiguan! And now VW are offering Tiguan SEs at the Tiguan S price to fight back.

You're not kidding, spec up a 2wd Tiguan 1.4TSI to Yeti Elegance levels and you're looking at £24k list price!
