I see that awesome are now doing ABD manifolds, wooop!!

on the little write up it sais to expect gains of 12-20+bhp

would that be on a standard turbo, or a larger item?

also what else would be needed to make it worthwhile fitting to my car? 4bar injectors??

sarah has said it is for the standard turbo..

but i think its only good for big turbo thats why des etc are running it....

you will not get up to 20bhp by adding it on a standard turbo simple as that......i have emailed them again as i was told by them its only good for the bigger turbo and no real point running it with the standard turbo...

other mods would be everything to be honest including bt upgrade....

as running a ko3s it will not go above 240 to 250 max with everymod available.....

nah i didnt think there was a chance of getting anywhere near 20bhp,

im not planning a bigger turbo, so i guess it might be a bit of a waste for me,

although i do like the idea of getting the manifold as its nice and shiny and saves me having to polish my current one

the ABD intake mani is good for approx 12-20hp and yes, those numbers are based depending on what else is modified on the car. We have seen the 10-12hp number on stock cars. It is still a mod worth doing even if you have no plans for BT set-up.

p.s. you may do a larger injector set up with the ABD manifold if your ECU software supports them.

Same as westallc, I too will order one if gains can be proven ?

I suspect an ABD mani would give no gains as the std mani is good for over 300 bhp, and it might actually loose a bit of torque due to the shorter runner lengths.

Hope to be proven wrong.

he's mentioned WI in the past, but I don't see it happening with the GT28. what happens with the GT30? who knows?

the runners aren't that much shorter, yes the plenum is bigger so making them shorter but they appear shorter than they actually are due to them being wider

WMD's might happen in the future, who knows but as said it definitly won't be happening on the 28

Al lot of stuff about flow rates on that but in the whole 11 pages I didn't see anyone who'd dyno'd a standard car then added the new manifold. Did I miss it?

I know the SCN boys have had good results with the SEM manifold but that's on the wrong side.

its not that simple really clive as that test covers and mixes up small port and big port manifolds, the ABD is a small port manifold and is the 2nd best small port in the test, only 12% below the best but is over 32% better than a standard small port manifold.

and i only just had a new manifold fitted but it was ported and polished so should be a bit better lol
