Prestivo Tyres

Featured Replies

Any one ever had the above??

been calling round local fitters to see if they can supply Kuhmo's cheaper than Black Circles (no they can't BTW) and was offered Prestivo Sport's. WHO??

Apparently they are made by Yokohama but info from a google search seems to be in short supply.

TIA

Never tried these, or even heard of them I'm afraid. I'm having tyres done this weekend so I've been looking at prices too. I've have opted for Pirelli Nero's which are only £7 more than the kuhmo's on black circles. Never tried the Pirellis before so hopefully they'll be OK. I have tried the Kuhmos however as well as Toyos and Rainsports and I really wasn't fussed on the kuhmos.

I know I risk starting yet another "what tyre thread", but just wanted top chuck my 2 pennies worth in.........

yeah they were a name i've never heard and finding info seems to be difficult and they weren't that much cheaper than brands i'd heard of! :D so they were dismised pretty quickly.

That's exactly the situation I am in.

I had Kuhmos before and know they were ok but with the Pirellis only slightly more expensive I was torn

we'll have to compare notes

I had 2 Pirelli Nero,s fitted yesterday for £150 and im v.happy with them, seem quieter than Goodyear F1 gsd3 that they replaced.

My local tyre company sell Prestivo Tyres, and my brother has them on his Felicia. They seem to be ok to me, and over here at least they are easy to get hold of.

They're a mid range tyre made by Yokohama and distributed across the UK by a company called Stapletons - from what I can gather about them online, there are some positive reviews of them. They are a very new brand so that's why there ain't much info on them yet and their official site is under construction. Check this out:

Laws Tyres - First Stop supply all major brands of tyres including Prestivo tyres in Bridge of Don and Aberdeen

Apparently they have a lifetime guarantee! Whatever that's worth.

hmm interesting! think i'll keep an eye on them once the kuhmos have lived their life

One of the major websites (event tyres I think) was advertising this (life time guarantee) for Bridgestones also.

Same guys for me I presume. I have been using the tyre guys concerned, STS Tyre Pros in Stevenage, for 20+ years, know all the guys there and have to say they are straight forward and honest.

I had a set of regular Prestivos (not Sport) on my Wife's FIAT Doblo a year ago and they were generally fine. No particular vices, but then no great benefits apart from them being 'budget' tyres. Straight forwardly a case of you get what you pay for. Overall, you can probaly do no better for the price.

Hope that helps.
