I will shortly be moving to Glasgow, and I feel it would be beneficial for me to have my own insurance policy on my car. I've been driving for almost 2 years on the family policy, with no claims made (unsure on the details of the policy at the moment, i.e. no claims etc).

I am 19 years old, and the car in question is an 05-plate Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.9TDi, with a Jabba rear anti roll bar, uprated brakes and suspension lowered by 25mm. The powertrain is completely standard, but I may be looking at a remap in the future; depending on insurance. My parents would need to be added as named drivers, with me as the main driver, on a mileage of approx 10,000 a year.

I understand I am a young driver and the vehicle is not standard, therefore quotes are likely to be on the high side, but I was wondering if I could get a better quote than on the comparison websites? They seem to typically quote around £1300.
