fabia 1.9 SDi cat

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any problems with the catalytic convertors rattling on the Fabia Sdi?

Mine has obviously broken up inside and it rattles quite a bit!

They are quite expensive to replace as they have the cat and the flexi joint aswell! (been quoted between £190 and £350 but its quite a simple job to do)

Im honestly considering breaking the contents out of the cat and putting it back on rather than spending as I have been told it will still pass MOT if I was to do so.

Anyone any ideas or feedback please?

At the moment, you do not need a cat to pass a MOT. It is not tested on emissions, only smoke. So If you de-cat it will pass if its not too smoky or noisy.
