Indicates left when stalk in right position

Featured Replies

This fault has happened the last two mornings and not all the time which doesn't help. At a few junctions when I push the indicator stalk fully into the right turn position I get one left flash before the right indicator flashes (as shown by the dashboard lights). But at the same point both mornings I have pushed the stalk fully into the right turn position and and according to the dashboard I am indicating left. Any ideas? Unfortunately when it has happened I have not been behind anyone to see the reflection in their car of what the indicators are doing.

Mine does the same, and now my cruise control is starting to play up as well. I would like to see if any one could answer this as well. Sorry for hijacking your thread.

Dodgy switch/stalk?

Yep, it's new stalk time I think.

A scan with VAG-COM will show up a fault with the stalk in question.

I had the same when one of the window switches wern't plugged in.

Garage have confirmed that the stalk unit is faulty

Hi Nimay,

I have this problem too, not long ago here. It is so easy to do this job yourself, and save money from the garage. It is taking around 1 hour to do this.

If you need help, then I will tell you.
