carriageway rear octy 2 wagon - HELP!!!

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I live in Italy, sorry for the pronunciation.

I own a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI estate 2 end 2008 model ROAD, LYRA original rims with 16 ".

My question to all owners of Octavia estate, have you ever noticed that the rear track width is smaller than the front?

I would like to mount the rear spacers of 5 mm as the parent says that the difference between front and rear is 11 mm.

Then 5.5 mm to the right (rear) and 5.5 mm on the left(rear).

Someone can help me?

This could be one of those situations where you just need to find something better to worry about?

would be pointless mate. no need.

if the car was designed like this, I suspect that you would upset the whole geometry by changing the track. Something which should be done by someone who knows what they are doing, and has the equipment to check the results.

It's purposely designed that way for improved handling. Many fwd cars are.

It's fairly normal for the rear track to be narrower than the front.

The problem with most spacers is they take the load off the hub & put it onto the wheel studs.
