£1300 you are having a laught arnt you thats very very expensive for that.....

i knew someone selling an o2j fully rebuilt with uprated sncro's bell housing sand blasted so as good as new with a lsd diff with apr bolts and a lightweight flywheel and spec clutch for 1200 fitted so i would say you payed well and truly over the top buddy

Have the linkage at the base of the gear stick checked over. My Fabia gear box 'Failed' losing 3rd and 5th. The AA sorted it out with a replaced grub screw...

yeah, check the engine mountings (particularly the nearside one under the airbox) - mine broke, allowing the gearbox and engine to drop on that side with the result that I systematically lost 2nd then 4th gear...

especially if it's ex police:rofl:

It's ok folks it's all sorted now found the problem now have all gears again!!!! found the breather pipe on(or off) the airbox wedged between the bit of the metal and the edge of the block/gearbox pushed it back on so all is well

and all mounts are ok as i checked them when i bought it
