Scrappage success

Featured Replies

I know the Scrappage Scheme has come in for a lot of grief but it worked for us :-) We chopped my Mum's 1993 Rover 400 with a blown head gasket in for this.

Fabia 1 with a few essential options OTR £6500.

Result..... very nice car

My sister is hopefully slicing her crappy 206 for one of these.

Good to hear some success. My Fabia sport is coming next monday.....they took my utterly knackered MOT fail (still got a couple of days left though), gave 3 years servicing and a tank of fuel. Cost £8375, great success.

Wow - sounds like two good deals there!

Almost makes me wish i had some F reg bucket to scrap for a shiney motor!

I went down to Weymouth to see my parents last week. The car is great it's a 6v Fabia 1 and they opted for glove box, storage under seats, side strips and 15" Antares alloys. I kept having to pinch myself that it only cost £6500!!!!

Always good to get a Rover off the roads!

White looks good on the Fabia II

Bloody good car that Rover tho, 16 years old with 175,000 before the leaking head gasket made it silly to pay out the repair cost. It was rusty as hell but the mechanical bits (engine and autobox) were Honda so speaks volumes for their longevity :-) For a short time between 89 and 94 it did look like Rover could pull through IMHO.
