VAG Coding of Bluetooth Kit

Featured Replies

I have the RNS 510, Maxidot and the Premium Bluetooth in an 58 Octavia VRS CR

The bluetooth kit is installed great and works with the RNS 510, however the Maxidot does not display the Phone option on the menu?

I have looked in VAG COM but cannot find any info on it to show the phone option in Maxidot

Thanks

Ste

Have you added it in the CAN gateway installation list?

Needs coding.

Me and Mike from Preston who was providing the VAGCOM have spent a while this afternoon trying various combinations of coding to no avail.

Amendments to the Guide

Telephone - Controller 77

The controller soft coding should be set to 0010422 if you have the RNS 510 or your phone button only mutes the radio.

From the offset when the kit was installed I could access it through the RNS 510 so telephone was enabled as per the coding instructions and everything except maxidot is great.

Does it have anything to do with BAP???

Thanks

What is the part number of your phone interface, it needs to be a 729B to show in Maxidot so if you bought an A or D then you've got the wrong one (unless you have a facelift car).

That will be it then!

1Z0 035 729 D is the part code

Strange that newer version have less capability though

Seller said that version D did not work on Red Display not White

Thanks for your help!!

Unhelpful answer of the week Ian :thumbup:I think the OP wants info how to code it! ;)

...you weren't a mod in a past life were you?:rofl:

I try.:D

Err, begs the question, which version would I need for a VRS LE with an RNS510 on the way as well?

Martin

The pre facelift is 729B. Post facelift there a couple of options, 729A, 729D and I think there is a 729C.

Thanks, The VRS LE has the facelift Dash and maxidot, so I think the 729B might be the wrong one for me. As it's gonna take a while to get, does anyone with VCDS in the Berks area fancy getting my Columbus coded up for me?

Martin
