SKODA CUSTOMER SERVICES MY DONKEY!!!!!!!!!!!

recieved a phone call today regarding the warranty repair on my gearbox. went kinda as follows:

-this is skoda customer services

-hello

-now that work has been completed your warranty claim has been rejected

-BO**OCKS HAS IT!!

-it seems that there was a hold up in the repair at your end of 8 working days, this in turn has forced the factory to retract its goodwill gesture of free parts

-so what about the 3 month delay that has been caused by you and the dealer?? does this not count for anything??

-well it was considered and because of the delay at your end the claim has run out of target

what a complete load of sh**e, after getting quite frustrated with the girl and informing her that i have already contacted trading standards on this matter and been told of my position/rights and if they are still refusing to honor their verbal contract with me then i will happily take them to court to costs + damages due to not having a car for over 3 months while they mess about with paperwork.

the most frustrating thing is the fact that it took 3 weeks for them to actaully tell me i could even make a warranty claim then when the garage had the car it took another 2-3 weeks for them to order the gearbox, while this was happening they refused to look at the damage caused by the recovery company and further drag out the repair by 1-2 weeks. yet my 8 working days is the end of the world.

great cars, good dealers, absolutely terrible customer service/after care. only slightly better than peugeot and they were absolutely unbelievable.

as you might expect not exactly the happiest bunny at the moment

PS. sorry for the long post :P

Is this a trend within Customer services - I have dealt with Vauxhall, Seat and Mitsubishi - All were lacking - Vauxhall were by far the worse !!!!

total opposite with me, when i had my corsa the after sales was second to none, think was down to having a fantastic dealer though. peugeot was shocking, my 106 was about 4 months old or so and a weld went on one of the hinges on the drivers door, they said they were busy and couldn't fix it any sooner than 3-4 weeks - they if i could just use the passenger door for now and scoot over?!?!?!!??!!!!!

the door was soo bad by this point that it would drop about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch when opened and obviously physically couldn't close normally.

when i finally got them to take the car within 2 days they wanted to charge me for insurance on the courtesy car!! another half day of argueing and that got quashed too. couldn't believe it. cheeky beggers

bad deal bengie, hope it gets sorted soon.

But Bengie, your car was modified and had been crashed as well ?

Did you really expect them to honor the warranty?

Given a "new" box is about 300-350 for a 4wd one from a scrappy would this not have been the best option?

kerbing the car does wreck the box - it was the cause of my first faliure approx 3 weeks after i dropped a wheel into a ditch damagine a wheel and damper...

- this in turn has forced[/b'] the factory to retract its goodwill gesture of free parts
And what on earth does that mean? Bad news, Bengie, to have your hopes raised then dashed like that. :(

denis, they said that i delivered the gearbox back to them 1 day too late which put the whole repair over target and therefore will no longer be offereing a goodwill gesture.

kinda annoying when they dont mind a 3 week wait on them to even tell me about the repair and 5-6 weeks of delays caused by the dealer, that bit i didn't really understand.

and ffelan, how exactly do you think my car is modified??

and also where the hell can you get the 4x4 gearbox for my car for around 400 quid, everywhere i asked either didn't have one or wanted
